Paneer in Gravy

Paneer in gravy is a very tasty cottage cheese curry recipe. Paneer recipes are common famous recipes from North Indian cuisine. This paneer in gravy recipe is an easy paneer recipe which have gravy with it.

Ingredients

Paneer / Cottage Cheese: 250 gram

Onion: 2 numbers (medium size)

Tomato: 3 numbers (medium size)

Green Chilly: 2 numbers

Garlic: 8 flakes

Ginger: 1 small piece

Coriander leaves: handful

Jeera: ¼ teaspoon

Kashmiri Chilly Powder: ½ teaspoon

Coriander Powder: ¼ teaspoon

Turmeric Powder: ¼ teaspoon

Garam Masala: ¼ teaspoon

Amchur / Raw mango Powder (optional): 1/3 teaspoon

Water: 4 cups

Salt: as per taste

Oil: 2 table spoon


Method to Prepare Paneer in Gravy

1. Cut paneer into pieces (medium size cube) and keep aside

2. Heat oil, add jeera and sauté well till aroma of jeera comes

3. Add onion paste, mix well until golden brown then add tomato paste, sauté well till oil leaves from sides

4. Put Kashmiri Chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt to it and mix well till raw smell of masala goes on medium heat for 5 minutes

5. Add 4 cups of water, boil for 5 minutes then add paneer pieces to it and cook until gravy thickens

6. Add coriander leaves, keep for 1 minute

Paneer in gravy is ready to serve.
