Creamy Semiya Payasam is a very simple, easy dessert recipe to try at home. Semiya payasam (vermicelli payasam) is one of the easiest payasam recipes which can be prepared by those who are not experts in cooking. 

A common semiya payasam is prepared with milk and sugar. The following recipe uses milkmaid to prepare this payasam recipe. It is also a part of the sadhya recipe for festivals, onam etc. People love this dessert very much and prepared regularly in home for get together in Kerala or South India. There were many variations for this recipe. You can add your own twist to it.

Ingredients

Vermicelli: 50 grams

Milk: 1 litre

Condensed Milk: ½ of 1 tin

Elachi: 3 numbers (powdered)

Cashew nuts: 2 tablespoon

Raisins: 2 tablespoon

Ghee: 1 tablespoon


Method to Prepare Creamy Semiya Payasam

1. Roast vermicelli till light brown in colour.

2. Boil milk in bowl, to this add vermicelli, condensed milk, elachi mix well.

3. Cook for 15 – 20 minutes.

4. Switch off flame & add fried cashew nuts & raisins.

Your tasty creamy semiya payasam is ready to serve. Serve hot or cold.
