Aval Nanachathu is a common and easy traditional recipe made at South Indian homes. Aval is the malayalam name of beaten rice. It is called as poha in hindi. It is one of the healthy and easy snacks or breakfast recipe. This is very simple to make with less ingredients and few methods within less time. It is commonly served with banana.

Aval / Beaten Rice / Poha – 2 cup

Coconut – 1 cup (scrapped)

Jaggery – ½ cup (grated)

Cumin – 1 tsp (powdered)

Salt – a pinch

Cardamom – 2 (powdered)

Method to Prepare Aval Nanachathu

1. In a bowl take aval, scrapped coconut, grated jaggery, cumin powder, cardamom and salt and mix.

2. Make this ingredients wet by sprinkling water on it and mix it well with hand.

3. Keep it closed for 5 minutes.

Your aval nanachathu is ready to serve. Serve with ripe banana. Don’t skip your breakfast.
